Description

Taken at the Eden Project in Cornwall. Its a sparrow of sorts but not sure what kind. Any Ideas ?

Very nice capture of the moment! :)

Would still suggest that you heal that middle/left weed and dito just below middle on righthand side border. Makes it a tiny bit busy otherwise imo. ;)

I did notice the weed to the left but decided to leave this one unphotoshopped which is something that is been drilled in to me as iam studying natural history photography at university. Wildlife images should be left as nature intended ;-)

Looks like a Dunnock (though I have never seen it with so much yellow in the base of bill). They are also called Hedge sparrows, a bad name as they have nothing to so with real sparrows. The thin bill suggest they are insectivores, not granivores.

You have captured an unusual position of a shy bird. Pity that the most important part, the head, is underexposed and shaded, with no shiny point in the eye (a careful use of flash could help here). The busy background has been mentioned. I'd crop a little from the bottom.
